Business headshots, like portraits, should truly be about capturing someones personality. Oftentimes when traditional headshots are done in a studio it can be challenging. The lights, the backdrop, the new environment… all of these factors can make people tense. For photographers, our entire goal while shooting our subject is to have you as relaxed as possible in the quickest time possible. Only then can we truly capture who you are. Even the most perfectly exposed images will never be amazing if the subject doesn’t look or feel like themself. The small details in the body language, the facial expressions, the pose – all play into creating a headshot that people will feel good about. Having headshots taken in your own environment can often make it easier as well.
For this shoot, we focused on having fun! We shot at Salon Loka in downtown Ogunquit where this glam squad works their magic everyday!
